Fox Labs® Legendary 5.3 Formula
All Fox Labs® Premium Aerosol Defense Sprays™pepper spray use organic pepper resins that have at least a true 2,000,000 Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating. They were the first company to use resins with this intense rating in a 5% product and their formulas are still unsurpassed! In 1998, they became the first and only company offering a true 5.3 million SHU resin in a 2% solution. These formulas are legendary! Don’t take our word on it. Browse the Internet and see what people in general, and LE ( Law Enforcement) professionals specifically have to say. Additionally, the word ‘true’ is very important, because some companies have their own systems of heat measurement, or they are not even using organic resins, but rather something called PAVA, which is artificial OC, and not nearly as effective as the real stuff. FOX LABS® does not use tiny nozzle openings that reduce the amount of formula discharged per burst. Other companies do this so they can make claims about more bursts per unit for reasons of marketing – to make their products sound better to those who don’t stop and think about what this actually means. The reality is that 2, 3 or 4 ounces of formula is the same volume regardless of whose canister it is in, so the only way to get more bursts from a canister is to reduce how much formula is being discharged per burst.
